Humly Integrates Disruptive Technologies’ IoT Sensors to Transform Workplace Efficiency

At Humly, we’re always looking ahead - finding new ways to make workplaces smarter, healthier, and more efficient. Today, we’re excited to share more about one of our most important strategic partnerships: our collaboration with Disruptive Technologies, a leader in ultra-compact wireless IoT sensors.

Turning Vision Into Reality

Humly officially entered into a research and development alliance with the Norwegian-based innovator and supplier of ultra-compact wireless IoT sensors last year. Since then we have been working closely to integrate their state-of-the-art sensors into Humly’s award-winning workplace solutions. The first fruits of this collaboration are already here: Disruptive Technologies’ wireless sensors are now integrated into our Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display, bringing an added layer of intelligence to our hardware.

With Disruptive Technologies' sensors - famous for their incredibly small size, peel-and-stick installation, and impressive 15-year battery life - we’re making it easier than ever for organizations to monitor and optimize their workspaces.

A Smarter, More Sustainable Workplace

Our shared vision goes beyond simple integration. Together, we’re working to transform modern offices by combining intelligence, sustainability, and a user-centric design philosophy.

Last month, we introduced Humly Sense - our new sensing gateway that acts as an open API channel, allowing communication between a wide range of open devices. Humly Sense processes data from sensors like Disruptive Technologies’ wireless motion and CO₂ sensors, enabling real-time insights into occupancy, air quality, and environmental conditions. This opens the door for automated features that support both employee well-being and organizational efficiency.

“Technology should be helpful and never intrusive,” says Viking Roald, Business Development Executive Nordics at Disruptive Technologies. “By integrating our sensors into Humly’s ecosystem, businesses become more responsive and sustainable, while empowering teams to make better use of their space.”

Building an Open Ecosystem for the Future

Our collaboration doesn’t stop here. As Humly CEO Anders Karlsson explains, “We are building an open ecosystem where third-party products can integrate seamlessly, and where aggregated data is accessible for the greater good of the surrounding environment. Together with Disruptive Technologies, we are setting a new standard for intelligent, sustainable workplace technology.”
