French Publishing Giant - Groupe Bayard - Chooses Humly for Meeting Room Management
Groupe Bayard, one of France’s most respected media publishers, recently upgraded its meeting room booking experience, as part of a broader workplace transformation initiative. The Groupe Bayard is known for publishing La Croix, Le Pèlerin, Notre Temps, and beloved children’s titles like Pomme d’Api and Okapi, Bayard also has an extensive publishing presence across Europe, North America, West Africa, and Asia. The group also has 5,500 book titles in its publishing catalogues and releases over 800 new publications annually. Groupe Bayard is also established in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Spain), the USA, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, and Hong Kong.
When the company relocated to its new headquarters in the Kalifornia building in Malakoff in March 2025, the focus was on creating a collaborative and flexible workplace. To achieve this, Bayard partnered with IT integrator Ozitem, who won the tender to supply and implement the building’s collaborative tech infrastructure. Among the selected solutions was Humly’s meeting room booking system, Humly Room Display, chosen for its user-friendly design, flexibility, and premium aesthetic.
A Tailored Solution for a Smarter Workplace
Ozitem recommended Humly Room Displays to deliver an efficient and seamless user experience. Certified in deploying Humly solutions, the Ozitem team worked closely with Bayard’s technical staff to install Humly Room Displays on both wall and glass surfaces at the entrances of meeting rooms.
All devices are centrally managed via the Humly Control Panel, ensuring secure and simplified administration of the entire system.
With its intuitive interface and elegant design, the Humly Room Display allows users to:
- Instantly check room availability and current booking status
- Book new sessions or extend/shorten ongoing meetings
- Cancel reservations automatically if no one checks in
- Search for and book alternative rooms when their preferred option is unavailable
- Report technical issues directly from the device
- Integrate with sensors and other meeting room equipment
The displays are compatible with Appspace, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365/Exchange, and Nexudus. Humly also offers open API access for deep integration with workplace management and collaboration tools. Security-wise, the solution is built on best practices from ENISA and the Center for Internet Security (CIS).
Accelerating Adoption Across France
The Bayard deployment is a strong example of Humly’s growing footprint in France, supported by its partnership with Ozitem. Over the past two years, Ozitem has played a key role in promoting Humly across the French market through in-house demos and client installations.
